Jumani 'We Can Work It Out' 12"
A Vocal
B Instrumental
Format 12"
From the early-to-mid 90s era when East Coast indie soul bridged raw jeep-beat production with soul-singer authenticity, this independent New Jersey R&B 12" was originally released in 1994 on the one-off local label Threshold Records. Produced and sung by Jumani, and cut from the original studio DAT for this Backatcha reissue. In ’94, whilst the record received local support on the underground scene, it went under the radar outside the wider Tri-state area and soon fell into obscurity as musical trends swiftly shifted. Three decades later, OG copies are highly-coveted, and the melancholic jeep-beat grit has made it a play-box essential amongst ’90s R&B fans, UK street-soul heads, and Balearic collectors alike - weaving into the sets and playlists of a wide spectrum of DJs and listeners worldwide.
